Sharon Carman has been bringing Buyers and Sellers together since 1989. Her real estate career began in Denver, Colorado. While attending college, she worked with RE/MAX selling primarily high-end properties ranging from $200,000 to $895,000 in Greenwood Village and Cherry Hills Village where she and her family lived.
Sharon has also earned the designations of New Home Specialist and Accredited Buyer Representative.
Sharon Carman is a long-time resident of the DFW area. As a child, Sharon and her family moved to Dallas in 1969, Joshua in 1972, and finally to Arlington in 1976. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1983. Sharon attended UTA for a year or so and then moved to Denver, Colorado with her family to complete her education.
After earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Management, with an emphasis in Marketing, Sharon returned to Arlington. "I've lived in Dallas - Ft. Worth most of my life. My family moved here when I was only 4 years old, so it's really home to me! It's a great place to live. The people are warm and friendly, and there is lots of sunshine. I love it here!"
She entered the advertising industry working for the third largest agency in Dallas (at the time). While there, Sharon learned the 'ins and outs' of the advertising world. Working with big name clients: Southwestern Bell, Bryan Foods, Poulan-WeedEater and others, Sharon gained valuable experience and learned to think 'outside the box.' ''I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in such an exciting industry. I learned so much and I am able to apply it to my business today.
''There is more to advertising than catchy phrases and pretty people. If you're going to successfully market a product you have to know who your target market is. Then, you have to develop unique ways to make your client shine!''
In 1997 Sharon decided to return to real estate as a licensed Texas Realtor. Upon getting her Texas license, she worked with two of the largest franchises in Texas. In August of 2000 she branched out on her own and founded The Real Estate Connection.
Sharon has earned the e-PRO certification by the National Association of Realtors (NAR). The e-PRO Internet Professional Certification program is the only online training course for Internet professionalism recognized by the NAR. As an e-PRO certified real estate agent Sharon has joined the ranks of a special community of highly skilled and continuously trained professionals who provide high quality and innovative on-line based real estate services.
When Sharon isn't working, she loves to spend time with her nephews and niece. "They are the light of my life! The boys are close-by and Peyton lives in Denver, so I don't see her as often as I'd like. But all three of them are my pride and joy! Being an Aunt is the greatest thing in the world!"
Sharon is an active member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Arlington and loves being involved in her church and local community!
